Attn: Small Business Owners

I see business owners virtually every day, and most of them think they can't afford to make voluntary insurance available to their employees.  Even if they only pay for part of the cost, they think voluntary insurance is expensive.  This is where I come in and explain how adding Aflac to their existing benefits package will help attract and retain employees, and that Aflac can be added at no direct cost to the employer.

Aflac complements a company's existing benefits package.  Making Aflac available does not change or replace any of the current plans.

Aflac is not a major medical insurance; it's insurance for daily living.  Aflac pays cash benefits directly to policyholders (unless otherwise assigned)  regardless of any other insurance they may have.  Policyholders can use the cash any way they see fit.  They can use the cash to help pay leftover medical expenses like copayments and deductibles.  Or they can use the cash to help pay for out-of-pocket expenses like the mortgage, utilities, groceries, and more.  Aflac processes claims quickly-usually within four days.

Common Questions:
How many employees are needed to setup a payroll account? We only need three employees to apply for Aflac coverage to setup a payroll account.

Why should I make a cafeteria plan available?

Aflac may provide your company with potential tax savings when the employer allows employees to pay for the policies with pre-tax dollars.  Without a cafeteria plan, your employees pay taxes on every dollar they earn-then they pay for their benefits.  With a cafeteria plan, your employees' benefits costs are deducted first, and then they pay taxes on the remainder.  This means your employees don't pay taxes on the money they spend for qualified health care coverage.

Do any policies require blood samples or lab work?

Aflac does not require your employees to submit blood samples or lab work to apply for coverage (except for life insurance).

How long will this take? I can present to your group of employees in 20 minutes.  Those who are interested may choose to meet for an additional ten minutes or so to get more details.  I can even come during their lunch hour.  I can answer any questions your employees will no doubt have.  It has proven effective to come back the following day, to give employees time to speak to their spouse, so the employees feel confident about applying for coverage or choosing to waive coverage.  Either way, we assure them that this is voluntary insurance and they are free to choose.

How much is this going to cost me? Employers can provide Aflac at no direct cost to  their company because policies are 100% employee-paid.
